The new site is located in calle Extramadura in the valley on La Marina urbanisation, easily accessible from calle Del Bosque or calle Murcia. It will be open to the public weekdays from 9am until 1.30pm - then 4pm until 7pm. On Saturdays it will be open from 9am until 1pm. Closed on Sundays. It will be fenced off with large gates at the entrance. The Lorries that will come to change the full containers will do so between 7pm and 8pm weekdays. During public opening hours there will be at least one administrator on hand monitoring the dumping of materials and helping people by directing them to the correct container. Local residents will be able to deposit garden pruning and unwanted household items at this location. It is no longer allowed for people to deposit these items in the streets. Anyone trying to deposit prohibited waste and /or infected palm trees and hazardous materials at the new waste collection site will not be admitted and may be fined. Each night the site will be closed and not accessible. The area will be illuminated and CTV cameras will be installed to provide extra security. We apologise to all the residents living close to the temporary collection points for the inconvenience caused in recent months.
