An amazing photo  taken in 1988 looking down Ave Londres towards calle Moscu where Sierra Villas is now located. This was the year of a very bad Gota Fria and the whole Segura valley was flooded.

Prior to construction of the first urbanisation the La Marina plateau was shrub land used only by goat herders and farmers. The green area on one side of Avenida San Fulgencio is monastry land. The remains of the monastry can still be seen opposite the Ceramica store in La Marina village. This photo is viewed from Ave Londres looking down onto calle San Sebastian and in the background is the area now known as urbanisation La Escuera.
